Heat treatment, precision grinding and finishing beyond standard machining.
Some components need more than machining to meet spec. Where hardness or wear resistance is called for, we heat-treat and follow up with precision grinding — holding both hardness and dimensional accuracy at once, which matters most on parts like punch holders that see thousands of press cycles.
Weld joints and fabricated surfaces go through grinding and finishing for a smooth, inspectable surface, and components requiring corrosion protection are prepared and coated or painted to specification.
These processes sit between machining/fabrication and final inspection in our process flow — a component isn't released until whatever special process its drawing calls for has been completed and verified.
Because these steps happen in-house rather than through an outside subcontractor, we control both the schedule and the documentation trail for them, rather than passing that risk to a third party.
